Brian Gay was among 110 golfers competing for 13 spots yesterday in Memphis. He shot 71-70 / 141 and missed by three.

Seems strange to me that guy in the top 20 in the USA owgr should have to qualify for his national open championship!

The world's "best" 144 will not play this week. Truth is, that field probably played a few weeks back at THE PLAYERS Championshp.

Get ready for the raft of players who won't break 150 (+10), or even 160 (+20), for the first 36.
